volunteering and visits

115  Edibles enjoys hosting volunteers on a regular, occasional or medium term basis.  We have weekly Thursday volunteer days, and monthly Sunday work-and-learn days. Tasks will comprise work in the veg garden (mulching, planting), forest garden (pruning, propagation, scything) and polytunnels (improving our underground irrigation system, planting seeds). We always have a great day exploring and practising permaculture principles - sharing, teaching and having fun. Home baked bread and soup at lunchtime will fuel our afternoon's activities. Email Rosie to let her know you're coming.Every Thursday or second Sundays of each month 11-5:Sunday 11th February; Sunday 11th March; Sunday 8th April; Sunday 13th May We also have volunteer weeks during the summer for campers and have a one bedroomed flat available for winter volunteers. If you would like to help regularly, every now and then, or to stay for a while, do contact us. If you are interested in growing, permaculture, land regeneration and sustainability then a visit to Edibles can provide some inspiration. We offer a 'talk and tour' to groups outlining how permaculture principles have informed the transformation of buildings and land into a sustainable business. We charge £60 per group and can offer lunch and facilitated group planning sessions, tailored to the needs of your group. Contact Rosie to plan your visit.77
